A Tercel probably isn't very crash worthy. Do you fell safe putting those little kids in that? My son was hit by a drunk driver a year ago. Driving is a risky behavior. Check out the new Hyundai, not that expensive, especially used. There are many safe used cars on the market that don't cost as much as Accords or Camry's.

Hey Dennis,

Actually, my wife and kids are in a 1999 Toyota Sienna with 5-star crash rating... so no worries, they're OK! =D

Seriously, I appreciate your concern. As for me personally, I think it's relative. The 1977 Ford LTD my parents had an accident in (with me in the car) was nowhere near as safe as my air-bag protected Tercel, especially now that I actually use my seat belt.
